The process to complete Paytm KYC verification online from home in 2021 | Paytm KYC online update with Aadhar: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued an advisory regarding KYC verification of all the UPI apps in the form of e-wallets including Paytm, Mobikwik, PhonePe, etc early by February 28th, 2018. 
 
The advisory has been issued by RBI following the directives by the Government of India to avoid fraudulent activities. As we all know that these e-wallets have nowadays become a part of our routine transaction activities including mobile recharge, online shopping, money transfer (wallet to wallet), money transfer (wallet to bank and vice versa) and other several transaction-related activities.

Paytm is one of the most widely used UPI apps in the smartphones of almost all Indian citizens who prefer digital transaction activities in comparison to the physical transaction.

Wallets have taken the form of e-wallets whose entire activities can simply be performed via an app inside our smartphones. Money is directly transferred to these e-wallets by the concerned customer via their bank accounts simply by adding a few details about the customer's account.

The transaction is extremely secured and encrypted and hence the transaction-related activities can be even be considered safer in comparison to physical transaction activities.

KYC verification of Paytm and several other UPI apps can be done by making them verified with the concerned customer's Aadhar number.

Accordingly, the Aadhar number of the customer will be linked with the provided account details of Paytm. Similar will be the case with other UPI apps including Mobikwik, PhonePe, etc.

Failing to the verification of Paytm e-wallet with Aadhar number by February 28th, 2017, the concerned account of the customer will be closed and no more transaction will be allowed.

It is, therefore, better to get the Paytm account number verified with Aadhar number to continue transaction activities without any issues. The process of verification is extremely easy and can easily be done within a few minutes with the help of OTP.
Paytm account verification
Let us have a discussion on the following list of steps to verify the Paytm account number with Aadhar number:-
  1. Open the Paytm app in the smartphone and login successfully using username and password.
  2. Click on the KYC option displayed in the Paytm app at the upper side. 
  3. Click on the Proceed button on the next screen to complete the further processes.
  4. Enter the Name and Aadhar number correctly in the space provided and click on the Proceed button again.
  5. Soon after clicking on the Proceed button, an OTP will be received in the registered mobile number with Aadhar.
  6. Enter the received OTP in the space provided correctly and click on the Verify button again.
  7. Aadhar card will be displayed on the screen for verification by the applicant. If it is displayed correctly, click on the option "Yes, It's me". 
  8. Another screen will be opened soon after the successful verification by the applicant asking to fill up other several details including profession, marital status, father's name, mother's name, PAN card, etc.
  9. After filling up the entire details correctly, click on the checkbox representing a declaration and finally submit the details by clicking on the Submit button.
  10. After submission, the KYC of the concerned Paytm account will be successful.

KYC update process is essentially required for Paytm and other UPI apps too. After completing the entire KYC verification procedures for Paytm, the users can even get access to Paytm Payments Bank with several added benefits and cashback.

Users can even link their bank account with the Paytm account and can get the BHIM UPI address also.
