17 Best Features and Specifications worth Exploring in the iOS 15 in 2021

1. Availability of FaceTime for Android and Windows along with the support for Spatial Audio and other features

FaceTime is gaining a few new additions. This involves the use of spatial audio as well as Portrait mode. A new grid view in Group FaceTime allows members to see more faces at the same time. SharePlay is another new function.

It's for sharing stuff with others over FaceTime, including screen sharing, music, and more. Translate is now available throughout the entire system, or we can simply say all over the system. With each successive iOS version, the Translate app improves, and iOS 15 is no exception. iOS, iPad OS, and macOS now have a system-wide translation, allowing you to translate any text by just clicking it and selecting the Translate option. This feature not only works with typed text but also with photos that contain text. As a reminder, iOS 15 received a high grade for image OCR text extraction. It's undoubtedly one of my favorite features so far because it's so practical.

3. Exceptional upgrade on the Notes and Reminders within the iOS 15 update

Changes to Notes and Reminders are also significant in the introductory update of the iOS 15 operating system of the iPhones in 2021. The iOS note-taking software includes tags for simple searching, as well as user mentions and an activity log to keep track of who's editing what. This is a significant shift since it makes collaboration far easier than it was previously. Tag support has been added to Reminders, as well as Smart Lists, which automatically collect reminders based on due dates and tags.

4. Apple Maps lashed with 3D street data and augmented reality walking directions

New Messages features have also been introduced by Apple. By way of an automatic status update, iOS 15 add Do Not Disturb mode to texts. When you activate it, other users will be able to see it. There's also a means to transmit crucial messages right away.

New options to access stuff that users share/send have also been added. Content from the Messages app will be shared with the Photos app via shared stacks. In the Photos app, these will be automatically sorted into collages.

7. Music selection personalization feature

With a new appearance, an interactive interface, and integration with Apple Music, which utilizes on-device intelligence to personalize music selections, Photos is the most significant update to Memories yet.

8. Siri can now work without an internet connection

Siri will be able to handle voice queries on the device itself in iOS 15, so audio will not be routed over the internet. According to Apple, this will dramatically increase Siri's performance. Siri will now be able to work even when she is not connected to the internet.

Among the new privacy controls are: Mail Privacy Protection prevents senders from discovering whether an email has been opened and hides IP addresses, preventing senders from discovering a user's location or using it to develop a profile on them.

The App Privacy Report provides an overview of how apps use location, images, camera, microphone, and contacts access provided in the last seven days, as well as which other domains are accessed.

User-created tags make it easier to organize notes fast, while mentions allow members of shared notes to communicate important updates to one another. A brand-new Activity view displays a shared note's recent history.

10. Safari gets a makeover, with new tabs and other features

Safari has a new design that makes it easier to reach controls with one hand. Users can simply slide between tabs thanks to the new tab bar, which hovers at the bottom of the screen. Tab Groups enables users to save tabs and access them from their iPhone, iPad, or Mac at any time.

Switch Control can now be customized to work with mouth sounds thanks to Sound Actions, and users may now change the size of the display and text on an app-by-app basis. Headphone Accommodations will now be able to recognize imported audiograms, which are charts that represent the results of a hearing test.

16. Redesigning the Safari browser for enhanced user experience

It would be an understatement to describe Safari an indispensable app; there are many other browsers available on the App Store, but Safari provides the greatest iPhone experience. The browser has received a significant cosmetic makeover in iOS 15, which unlocks the address/menu bar and maximizes screen space.

By swiping left or right, you can switch between the various tabs. It's a bold new style that will take some time to get used to, and I'll admit I'm not a fan. It's a lot cleaner than before, but it still needs a few additional taps here and there.
